A Journal Report Highlighting Event Impact, Leadership, and Community Engagement
The ITServe Alliance Arizona Chapter reached a significant milestone in workforce development by hosting its first-ever STEM & Technology Job Fair 2026 at Arizona State University’s Memorial Union – Arizona Ballroom in Tempe. Held on May 1, the event was a vibrant platform for hiring, networking, and advancing careers, drawing together hundreds of students, job seekers, and technology professionals from across the state.
This inaugural job fair was crafted to address Arizona’s rapidly expanding demand for high-skilled technology talent. With Arizona emerging as a national hub for semiconductor manufacturing, AI research, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity, the event provided a timely opportunity for employers and candidates to connect directly. More than a twenty technology companies, IT service firms, and implementation partners participated, offering roles in artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, data engineering, telecom, networking, and embedded systems.

Attendees engaged in one-on-one conversations with hiring managers, explored internship and full-time opportunities, and benefited from guidance on industry trends and in-demand skills. The event featured resume reviews, skill mapping sessions, and employer-led workshops on emerging technologies, reflecting the dynamic needs of Arizona’s innovation ecosystem.
Leadership and Strategic Vision
ITServe Alliance’s Arizona Chapter leadership played a pivotal role in the success of the event. The organizing team included Chapter President Sai Undrala, Advisors Madhu Rayapati and Praveen Samala and Secretary Sarath Chalamcharla. Their vision and commitment were supported by National President Siva Moopanar and CSR Director Tanuj Gundlapalli, who championed the initiative at the national level. National leaders such as Suresh Potluri, Samba Moova, Babu Gurram, Srinivas Vemula, and Madhu Yalla joined the event, reinforcing ITServe’sdedication to empowering local employment and advancing the organization’s broader mission.
The job fair also highlighted the strong partnership between ITServe and Arizona State University. ASU’s students and alumni formed a significant portion of attendees, leveraging the university’s reputation as a leading research institution with diverse STEM programs. This collaboration underscored the importance of bridging academic excellence with real-world employment opportunities.
Diverse Participation and Inclusive Impact

Over 350 job seekers attended, representing a spectrum of backgrounds: experienced professionals, fresh graduates, and students from Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, University of Arizona, and several community colleges. Many participants were eager to re-enter and grow within the workforce, demonstrating the inclusive reach of the event.
Employers from across industries participated, including technology and product companies, semiconductor and electrical sectors, healthcare and AI domains, and federal agencies such as the United States Army, Arizona National Guard, Peace Corps and NASA. Partners like Dice, Touchstone, Kokusai Semiconductors, Prama AI, TTEC, KeenStack and NextStep Networks added further diversity. The event was a true embodiment of ITServe’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) mission—bringing together employers and job seekers with the clear purpose of helping people get back into the Arizona workforce.
Community Feedback and Recognition
Strong feedback was received from all stakeholders. Employers praised the quality of candidates, attendees appreciated the event’s organization and purpose, and community members recognized the need and impact of such initiatives. The event’s success was celebrated as a proud moment for the ITServe Alliance community, demonstrating the power of teamwork and shared vision.
Sai Undrala expressed special gratitude to key contributors: Madhu Rayapati for employer search and budget approvals, Praveen Samala for outreach and PR efforts, Sarath Chalamcharla for leading the job fair, Venkat for managing the speakers segment and employers, and Jasty, Sree, Naidu, and Murali for university engagement. Sarit worked with state legislatures, while Phani, Rupesh, and Rajesh coordinated golf course activities. Pankaj managed employer booths and gamification, and Anoop, Naidu, and Jash provided volunteering support. Hospitality was managed by Sudhir, Anoop, Shravan, and Rajesh C., and Rajesh N. supplied Arizona souvenirs. Sree and Pankaj ensured smooth meeting operations, and Krishna Mamidi engaged the audience as a core women’s team member. Hidden heroes and volunteers, including Bala, were recognized for their behind-the-scenes dedication.
Evening Session: Fireside Chat and Legislative Support
The West Coast-style evening meeting was a highlight, featuring a dynamic fireside chat with keynote speakers Marc Chesley (Exec. PHX-FWD), Chris Richardson (CTO – CSAA/AAA), and Buddy Robinson (Sr. VP Sales). The discussion on AI resilience and technology growth kept attendees engaged for over 50 minutes, fostering learning and insight. Legislative leaders Mr. Flavio Bravo and Mr. Kevin attended, underscoring ITServe’s growing impact in the community.

Looking Ahead: Annual Flagship Initiative
The success of the inaugural job fair has paved the way for it to become an annual flagship initiative for ITServe Alliance Arizona Chapter. Plans are underway to expand participation, increase employer representation, and introduce specialized tracks for AI, cybersecurity, and semiconductor careers. The event stands as a testament to ITServe’s commitment to fostering innovation, supporting American competitiveness, and creating meaningful pathways for the next generation of technology professionals.
