However, he also criticized Ukraine’s recent advisories to airlines urging them to avoid Russian airspace, describing such warnings as an act of “state terrorism.” Putin asserted, “Ultimately…the problem must be resolved by the countries involved in the conflict – Russia and Ukraine. Is there a chance [at peace]? In my view, yes, there is.”
Putin’s comments come at a time when diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the war, which began in 2014, have stagnated.
