In Greater Houston, approximately 2,200 participants gathered at Sugar Land Town Square, focusing on initiatives related to mental health, education, and law enforcement. U.S. Congressman Christian Menefee, who attended the event, expressed the importance of community engagement, stating, “We go on social media and think about ourselves. We watch the news and think about how it impacts us personally. But sometimes we need to focus on our neighbors, our brothers, our sisters, and our community — and that’s what this is all about.”

Doug Clarke of the Rocky Hill Fire Department in Connecticut highlighted the event’s proceeds, which will assist in recruiting and retaining volunteer firefighters as the department approaches its centennial anniversary.
