“Come back home and help build the next chapter of Atmanirbhar Bharat.” — Nita Ambani addressing Indian doctors at IACTSCON 2026.

Reliance Foundation Founder and Chairperson Nita Ambani outlined her vision of India emerging as a global healthcare leader and urged Indian doctors working abroad to contribute to the country’s healthcare transformation while addressing delegates at IACTSCON 2026, the annual conference of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgeons, held in Mumbai from February 26 to March 1, 2026.

Although Ambani delivered the remarks during the conference, her message reached a much wider audience after Reliance Foundation shared a video of the address across its official social media platforms on June 13, 2026. The video quickly gained traction online, sparking widespread discussion about India’s healthcare future and the role of the Indian medical diaspora.

Speaking before leading surgeons, healthcare professionals, and medical researchers, Ambani highlighted India’s growing capabilities in healthcare, medical research, innovation, and education, while encouraging Indian-origin doctors around the world to participate in the country’s next phase of growth.

“India can truly become a global pioneer in next generation healthcare,” Ambani said, describing healthcare as a key pillar of India’s future development.

She also delivered a direct message to Indian doctors living overseas, calling on them to bring their expertise and experience back to India.

“Come back home and help build the next chapter of Atmanirbhar Bharat,” she said.

IACTSCON 2026 brought together cardiothoracic surgeons and medical experts from India and abroad to discuss advancements in cardiac and thoracic care, emerging technologies, research, and patient outcomes.

Highlighting India’s healthcare potential, Ambani said the country’s future would be driven by innovation, world-class institutions, cutting-edge research, and skilled medical professionals capable of delivering affordable and accessible care on a global scale.

Her remarks come at a time when India is investing heavily in healthcare infrastructure, medical education, digital health initiatives, and advanced treatment facilities while seeking to strengthen its position as a global hub for healthcare services and innovation.
