On September 9, 2026, students from multiple educational institutions in Mandya participated in The Hindu In School Science Fest (Avishkar) and the Maths Olympiad (Ramanujam Spark Quest), both of which took place at the Gowri Shankara Kalyana Mantapa in Marigowda Layout, Mandya. In the Class 8 segment, Samarth Santosh from STG Public School emerged as the first prize winner, followed closely by Jathin J. Gowda from Cauvery Public School and Harshal Dias from Santhome Public School. Consolation prizes were awarded to Eshitha M.N., Dishanth Arya B.S., and Kushal S., all of whom demonstrated strong mathematical skills.

For Class 9, the first prize was claimed by Lekanashree from JSS Public School, with Nehal from Santhome Public School and Janak Raval from Cauvery Public School taking home the second and third prizes, respectively. Consolation prizes were distributed amongst students from St. Mary’s Convent School and STG Public School, reinforcing the competitive spirit of the event.

In Class 10, Shah Faiz Nizami from Cauvery Public School won the top prize, while the second and third positions were secured by Parth from Cauvery Public School and Sejal from JSS Public School, respectively. Additional consolation prizes were awarded to students from Global Public School and JSS Public School, highlighting the broad talent pool present at the event.

Judging and Evaluation

The judges for the Avishkar Interschool Science Fest included Dr. Ashraya, Ms. Ashwini, and Dr. Shivaraj Nayak, who evaluated the projects based on creativity, execution, and scientific merit. In the Ramanujam Spark Quest, the evaluation panel included Sunaad Raj, the Vice Principal of Excellent College, Moodubidre, along with other academic professionals who assessed the mathematical capabilities of the participants.
