Global, 29 October 2026: Bringing a heartfelt story of love, relationships, and emotional choices to audiences, Nooru Kodi Vaanavil, written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sasi, will premiere directly on ZEE5 Global on 6 November 2026. Starring Harish Kalyan and Siddhi Idnani in the lead roles, the Tamil romantic drama is produced by Balaji Kapa under Madhav Media and Arun Arunachalam Production. The film will be available through a pay-per-view model, offering audiences the opportunity to experience it digitally.
From his directorial debut with Sollamale to his latest hit Nooru Saami, and acclaimed films such as Poo, Pichaikkaran, and Sivappu Manjal Pachai, Sasi has carved a distinct niche in Tamil cinema with stories deeply rooted in human emotions, relationships, and the complexities of everyday life. With Nooru Kodi Vaanavil, the filmmaker returns with a romantic drama that explores the complexities of love, the expectations people bring into relationships, and the difficult choices that can shape their future. The film’s direct-to-OTT release brings Sasi’s latest work straight to digital audiences, giving viewers an opportunity to discover his storytelling from the comfort of their homes.
At its heart, Nooru Kodi Vaanavil follows a romantic relationship as the central characters navigate differing expectations, personal dilemmas, and the influence of those around them. Blending romance with family emotions, the film explores how love can be tested by life’s circumstances and the choices people make along the way.
Sharing his perspective on the film, Sasi, writer and director, said, “Nooru Kodi Vaanavil is a story about love and how relationships evolve as people grow, their expectations change, and life presents them with difficult choices. I wanted to explore the emotional journey of two people who must navigate their feelings while dealing with the realities around them. Love is not always a straightforward journey, and the decisions we make can have a lasting impact on the people we care about. I hope audiences connect with the characters and their experiences, and find something of their own lives reflected in the film.”
Speaking about his experience of being part of the film, Harish Kalyan, lead actor, said, “Playing Vino in Nooru Kodi Vaanavil was a meaningful experience because the character’s journey explores the many emotions that come with love and relationships. As we grow older, our understanding of love changes, and so do our priorities and expectations. What makes this story special is that it goes beyond the idea of romance and looks at the difficult choices that people face when their feelings and circumstances become complicated. I am excited that the film is premiering on ZEE5 Global, allowing a wider audience to experience this story.”
Adding her perspective, Siddhi Idnani, lead actor, said, “Nooru Kodi Vaanavil explores relationships in a way that feels deeply human. Love can be beautiful, but it also brings uncertainty, differing expectations, and decisions that are not always easy to make. What drew me to this film was the opportunity to portray these emotional nuances and explore how personal choices and the people around us influence our relationships. I hope audiences connect with the characters, understand their dilemmas, and take away their own perspectives on love and life. I am happy that the film is reaching audiences on ZEE5 Global.”
Harish Goyal, Territory Head – Americas, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., said, “Audiences across the USA and Canada have a strong and growing appetite for high-quality regional Indian cinema, particularly stories that are emotionally authentic and culturally rooted. Nooru Kodi Vaanavil brings together a compelling contemporary relationship story, Sasi’s distinctive storytelling, and the appeal of Harish Kalyan and Siddhi Idnani. We are delighted to bring the film to Tamil audiences across North America on ZEE5 Global and continue strengthening our offering of premium Tamil entertainment for viewers who want to stay connected with the best stories from home.”
Nooru Kodi Vaanavil will be streaming exclusively on ZEE5 Global from 6 November 2026.
