The announced 15-player ODI squad features the retention of former captain Rohit Sharma and star batter Virat Kohli, both of whom now exclusively represent India in the 50-over format following earlier retirements from Test and T20 International cricket. Young top-order batter Shubman Gill continues as team captain, with opening batter KL Rahul named vice-captain for the three-match series scheduled to begin in Thiruvananthapuram on September 27.
