Rambha: From ‘90s Screen Queen to ₹2,000 Crore Net Worth – A Look at Her Journey

Rambha — born Yeedi Vijayalakshmi — was one of the most popular heroines across Indian cinema in the 1990s and early 2000s. She built a strong pan-Indian presence with roles in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi films, acting alongside big names like Salman Khan, Rajinikanth, Mammootty, Chiranjeevi, and more.

Her debut came in 1992 with the Malayalam film Sargam, where she played “Thankamani,” a village belle who loves music. Despite not being fluent in Malayalam, her expressive performance earned praise. This was followed by hits in other languages, with memorable songs like “Azhagiya Laila” from Ullathai Allitha boosting her fame.

After a successful film career, she married a Canadian businessman in 2010, moved to Canada, and gradually stepped away from acting. The couple now has three children, and she has also been part of various business ventures, including interior and furniture design through a company her husband runs, in addition to one bearing her name.

While she hasn’t appeared in major films since around 2011, Rambha has made occasional appearances on television reality shows as a judge. Today, her combined net worth with her husband is reported to be very high — around ₹2,000 crore — according to various media sources.
