New Orleans, Louisiana | March 28, 2026 —

In a landmark moment for civic and political engagement within the Hindu American community, Americans4Hindus (A4H) proudly announced the launch of four new state chapters—Louisiana, Missouri, Alabama, and Arkansas—marking a historic expansion during a high profile gathering in New Orleans.

The announcement took place alongside the prestigious Annual American College of Cardiology Convention, where A4H leadership was actively engaged.

Following the conference of the American Association of Cardiologists of Indian Origin (AACIO), a distinguished platform was provided to Americans4Hindus to present its mission and expand its national footprint.

During this significant event, newly appointed leaders for each chapter were formally introduced and inducted:

Louisiana: President Dr. Surendra Purohit, Vice President Dr. Kiran Zaveri

Missouri: Chairpersons Drs. Hanumanth Reddy and Geetha Reddy, President Dr. Raghuveer Kura

Alabama: President Mr. Subir Paul, Honorary Chairman Dr. Navin Nanda

Arkansas: President Dr. Srini Vengala, Vice President Ms. Sapna Singh Vengala

Dr. Romesh Japra, Founder and Chairman of Americans4Hindus, delivered a compelling keynote outlining the organization’s Vision, Mission, and Goals. Drawing from his own distinguished career as a cardiologist, Dr. Japra emphasized the importance of the Hindu American community not only excelling in professional fields such as medicine, but also stepping forward to ensure fair and meaningful representation in the political arena.

“While we continue to contribute immensely through our knowledge, skills, and service, it is equally important that our voices are represented in governance and public policy,” said Dr. Japra.

Dr. Rakesh Sharma, President of Americans4Hindus (Florida) and President of AACIO led the formal induction ceremony and delivered a passionate call to action, urging community members to actively engage in civic and political processes to shape the future of the nation.

Adding a powerful perspective on next-generation leadership, Dr. Hanumanth Reddy highlighted the inspiring journey of her daughter, Ms. Sarita Komatireddy, who has entered the political arena and is running for Attorney General of New York in the upcoming November 2026 elections.

Ms. Komatireddy has already secured a decisive victory in the Republican primary with an impressive 86% of the vote, signaling strong momentum for emerging Hindu American leaders.

With the addition of these four chapters, Americans4Hindus now has a presence in 33 states, reflecting rapid nationwide growth. The organization has set an ambitious goal to establish chapters in all 50 states ahead of the November elections, further strengthening its mission to empower Hindu Americans and pro-Hindu voices across the United States.

This historic expansion underscores A4H’s unwavering commitment to “Empowering Democracy with Hindu Values” and mobilizing the community toward active civic participation, leadership, and representation.
